BACKGROUND INFO

Baltimore Homa Community, Inc. (BHC) is a Maryland nonprofit and IRS tax exempt organization dedicated to community education and community service that links people to information, services and resources about Homa Therapy, the ancient science of atmospheric purification. The organization reaches out and demonstrates how Homa establishes bio-energetic equilibrium in all of nature -- atmosphere, soil, water, plants, animals, and human beings;  supports chemical-free, organic food production; assists in the removal of stress and tension from the mind; and fill all the spheres with love.  

Since late 2003, the Baltimore group has been following a program that includes:

  • Maintaining the daily four-hour Yajnya and 24-hour moon and no moon Homa
  • Meeting weekly at Sunday gatherings for singing, reading, and community planning sessions
  • Making Homa-focused workshops and services available free of charge; Agnihotra, Homa organic gardening, Ash Medicines, community living
  • Conducting weekly Women’s Meetings where women come together for Homa, devotional singing, movement, healing circles and collectively sending light and love around the globe
  • Conducting Peace Parties, original community gatherings for families with drumming, dancing, singing and Homa healing circles; Kirtans (chanting and Homa, dancing and singing) and equinox/solstice and other holiday celebrations
  • Convening charrettes (weekend planning meetings) at Madison, VA in order to refine strategy for community living development and to collaborate with members of the Madison community
  • Conducting cleansing missions at select US Civil War sites
  • Conducting Homa educational missions to Africa in order to assist people in becoming more self-sustaining through the use of Homa organic practices
  • Utilizing and teaching eco-agro practices including production of medicinal herbs, vermaculture, raising honey bees, seed banks, eco-agro tourism and other practices.
  • Maintaining a fund to help defray the cost of international travel by Homa Therapists and providing financial assistance to Homa projects around the world.
